1st stylish combo: This party sucks [video/action]

(What. The. Hell.

The first thing anyone tuning will see is Dante fiddling with his pokegear, unsure of exactly how to get it to work. He doesn't realize that he actually turned on the video feed, but tosses it over to a green scythed pokemon who fumbles about with it before actually being able to hold it...somehow.

And with the camera following Dante, anyone will see that, while speaking pretty calmly, this guy is pissed off. Kicking the door to Elm's lab open [which didn't get flung off of their hinges, making Dante even more upset], this guy proceeds to antagonize Elm and all of the scientists in there.)

Who the hell taught you guys how to throw a party? Bringing your guests over and stealing all of their shit? You do realize that means I have to kick all of your asses, right?

(And of course, squishy scientists can't fight back, but Dante knows better than to attack them outright. Still, he's punching things and flipping tables to help relieve his anger while his scyther can only watch from a distance. Scary man can be scary.)

So where the hell's all my stuff? Tell me now and I'll make sure to leave you enough teeth to chew.

Apparently yes, given that I haven't been able to cast a single spell since I arrived. Things like that just don't seem to exist in this world.

Well that's just a load of crap. I can't exactly go around demon hunting without 'em.

Whatever; they want to give me a challenge? I'm ready for a challenge. What I'm not ready for is this thing, right here.

(Taking back his pokegear, Dante points the camera at his Scyther, who's more than to wave at whoever's watching.)

"Scyther!"

I'm.. not sure there are demons to hunt, here. Just Pokemon.

Which is actually what you have there. A Scyther, to be precise. They're pretty powerful, so I guess you got lucky about that.

[Okay, this is a bad explanation. She clears her throat and decides to start at the beginning.]

This new world is filled with creatures like that. We've been brought here to capture and train them to be powerful fighters. Or, for some of us, to breed them, but I kind of doubt that's going to be your goal here. They're called Pokemon.

That's what I keep hearing; then again, I kind of expect a guy who looks like this to be at least pretty strong.

I have absolutely no idea how to breed these guys, so I'm pretty damn sure I'll end up battling with 'em; fighting's what I do best. So is there a point to having us collect these guys or are we just doing so out of the kindness of our hearts?

(This man's dripping with sarcasm.)

Well, traveling in the wild without a group of strong Pokemon can be dangerous. We don't have powers or all that much strength, as you might have noticed, so fighting wild Pokemon on our own is a bit of a losing proposition, no matter what we were capable of taking care of on our own worlds.

[She can be too, at times, but right now she's busy doing what she does best: Lecturing!]

(Yay lectures! And this time, Dante can't hide behind a magazine or a bottle of Jack Daniel's.)

And back home, I was perfectly used to fighting things on my own...this is a hell of a switch around. Now I'll have to teach this guy how to fight with dual blades and who the hell knows how long that'll take...and that'll just cover one pokemon.

(That'll be a lot of fun for Dante. A lot of fun.)

Fortunately, most of them do seem to have natural ability, so that helps. Even more so if they're the kind that are eager about fighting, and a lot of them seem to be. Though that's kind of a double-edged sword, since it means you'll be getting pounced on often while traveling.

It's cool; I've had plenty of run-ins like that before. Natural ability stuff sounds useful, but I have no idea how much this guy has...or how eager he is to do much of anything...

(And yet, the wide-eyed Scyther is curiously wandering around the lab and generally being harmless-looking. That sort of behavior is not sitting well with Dante's pride or tough guy appearance.)
